THE RAFT.

Hello kiddies...I don't know what it is about The Raft that I love so much. Even as a little kid, this 21 minute short story was always my choice cut from the Creepshow movies. The story begins with four teenagers who travel out to a secluded raft in the middle of a lake. Immediately they notice a black, oily figure in the water and come to find out that the object in the lake is a creature that has plans for the teenies. The story is fast-paced and its originality and gruesomeness makes for one of the creepiest tales I've ever seen.

I also love the idea of a horror tale being told during the daytime. That's something you still don't see these days and I think it's due to the fact that not many directors can actually pull it off and make it as chilling as something shown in the dark. I was going to post a clip, but The Raft needs to be broadcast in its full splendor:

This has always made me WANT to go swimming in secluded lakes to see if it was really true.Sadly...but probably for the best,it never happened. This story will always stick out as the best for the 2nd creepshow.

i know what you love about this story; two things.

1. the guy brings joints in a medicine bottle in his speedo.

2. that guy still tries to fool around with one of the girls after their friends have died.
