Hello kiddies...I don't know what it is about The Raft that I love so much. Even as a little kid, this 21 minute short story was always my choice cut from the Creepshow movies. The story begins with four teenagers who travel out to a secluded raft in the middle of a lake. Immediately they notice a black, oily figure in the water and come to find out that the object in the lake is a creature that has plans for the teenies. The story is fast-paced and its originality and gruesomeness makes for one of the creepiest tales I've ever seen.
I also love the idea of a horror tale being told during the daytime. That's something you still don't see these days and I think it's due to the fact that not many directors can actually pull it off and make it as chilling as something shown in the dark.
